After years of having to order out of the states, and the cost that comes with it, for the best gear in the waterfowl industry it was a welcomed find when I was introduced to Dux-N-Dogs. Not only does he strive to carry the best equipment in the business, you get it at a fair price. Most items I have bought either have been at the same cost after you get it up here from the states or in many instances the price at Dux-N-Dogs has been better.

I have been a customer of Ed's now for 4 years. More importantly, we have been friends for 4 years. That's the thing about Ed and Dux-N-Dogs, you don't just become a customer when you shop there,you become a friend,and are treated as such. The east coast of Canada and in particular the Halifax area ,has been short -changed for years. Whether it be inflated prices,lack of selection,or annoying know-it-all salesman, we had no reliable local source for quality wildfowling gear. That all changed when Dux-N-Dogs opened it's doors. Ed always has a good selection of everything from decoys to ammo including dog gear and camo and what he doesn't have he gets....fast. Dux-N-Dogs prices cannot be beat,most times better than the big chain stores from the States. Ed is also very active in local Delta Waterfowl activities,the grass roots of our sport.

He is a "fowler" first, store owner second. I have always said,Dux-N-Dogs is the best biggest little wildfowl store in Atlantic Canada. Have a look, you won't be dissappointed!

I am not new to the Waterfowling World as I started tagging along with my father and grandfather over 40 years ago and being in my chosen profession have had the opportunity to hunt the marshes and coastlines in every province except for the mighty BC. Over those decades I have spent countless dollars on what was advertised as quality products with unlimited customer support. As we all know the minute you walk out the door that customer support is void…Not from Duxs-N-Dogs!!

Ed, as we all know him only sells the highest quality products and if the quality of said product becomes unsat (insert Naval term for Ed) he researches and changes models or even manufactures. Case in point, GHG oversized black ducks, opened the box and one was slightly crushed, called Duxs-N-Dogs and Ed replaced it within 30 minutes. That decoy was shot over later that evening, try that at the local C-Tire…..Heck I have even placed orders from my deployment in Afghanistan for pick up at home, as the shipping costs would kill me.

Lastly and most importantly! Living within 10 minutes of Ed I have had the opportunity to chat with him on more than one occasion and I have never heard him bad-mouth the “competition” just a further 4 minutes down the road.

Five years ago I was just learning to hunt waterfowl and not having a lot of luck. Ed picked up my plea for help from a hunting forum and put me in touch with a buddy of his who often hosts newbies. The following Saturday morning I was hunting with the two of them in the "duck hotel". Later that week, and many times since, I found my way to Ed's store in Lantz to begin building my arsenal of waterfowling gear. I am a firm believer in supporting local business, even when it costs me more to do so. The pleasant surprise that I had in dealing with Dux-N-Dogs was that I could shop local AND get the best prices around. Over the years I have many times heard about a particular product in magazines/tv shows/online and asked Ed about it. He always does his best to find out about the product and to provide information, reviews and a quote. As the name "Dux-N-Dogs" suggests, I've walked out the door with all kinds of waterfowling equipment (decoys, silos, calls, clothing, boots, waders, bags, ammunition, boating gear, layout blind etc...) and dog training gear (whistles, bumpers, vests, bells, collars, leashes, first aid etc...). Beyond "ducks and dogs", I've frequently been able to get my upland hunting and clay shooting supplies from Ed as well as odds and ends to fuel my new interest in deer hunting. Great gear well suited and field tested to LOCAL conditions, great prices, great advice and information. Try Dux-N-Dogs, you won't regret it.

I hung up knowing that my order would be correct and on the way soon. 'Soon' was an understatement....I was hunting with the mojo critter decoy two days later....and very happy to boot!
